Through bold, energetic brushstrokes in impasto technique, a male figure emerges – both distinct and dissolving. The colours – blue, violet and white – pulse within the body as if it carried the movement itself. An expression of desire’s energy and the intensity of the moment.

In these two works, Il Scimmia interprets the myth of Eros and Psyche – the eternal encounter of love and soul. The figures, painted with powerful impasto technique, appear both present and elusive.
Eros, the male figure, embodies the energy of desire – a body in motion, built from the very force of paint.
Psyche, the female figure, shifts between light and shadow – a dissolving soul, drawn between presence and absence.
Together, they form a story of body and soul, desire and consciousness, the visible and the invisible. Fragmented yet alive, anonymous yet powerfully present.
