Description

The Blue Horizon – Poster Collection brings together three works that capture the shifting relationship between light and landscape over nearly five decades. The collection moves between photography and painting, between documentation and interpretation – each image expressing its own rhythm of stillness and motion.

It begins with Marie-Charles-Isidore Choiselat’s Landscape with Cottage (1844) – an early photographic view where the reflection on the water and the quiet village create poetic depth. Next is Frederic Remington’s The Song of Hiawatha (1891) – a scene of movement and culture, where a canoe glides across dark water beneath a vast horizon. Finally, Georges Seurat’s Evening, Honfleur (1886) – a seascape in muted blue-grey tones where pointillism dissolves the horizon into evening light.

Together, the three works form a subtle yet powerful dialogue between stillness and motion – a tribute to the blue horizon where land meets sea, and thought meets calm.
